What’s the difference between Microblading, combination, and powder brows?

MICROBLADING - Creates very fine hair strokes with ink that mimics real hair. The results are very natural and gives the appearance of real hair.

COMBINATION BROWS - A combination between microblading & powdered ombre. There are microblading hair strokes from the beginning to the middle of the brow to give a natural look which then transitions to a powdered effect to give more fullness & density.

POWDER BROWS - Powder brow is done with a shading technique using a permanent makeup machine it gives a soft appearance that is a very similar look to makeup powder.

How long do the results last?

Microblading lasts 1-2 years, Combination or Powder brows can last anywhere from 1-3 years. The results will fade over time and We recommend getting a colour boost annually to keep them looking fresh. Pigment retention depends on skin type, age, aftercare, sun exposure, use of certain skin products, immune system, medications and several other factors.

How many treatments are needed?

Both techniques require two treatments ( initial appointment + touch up a third touch up could be required. We will schedule your touch-up perfecting session for 6-8 weeks later. The pigment will lighten 30-40% during the healing process and certain hair strokes may completely disappear and seem patchy. This is completely normal and the reason for the perfecting session. Skin cells also turn over more frequently on oiler skin types causing the colour to fade quicker than drier skin types. For oilier skin types more frequent touch ups may be required.

Is dermaplaning safe for all skin types?

Dermaplaning is safe for most skin types, but it is not recommended for those with active acne, rosacea, or eczema. A consultation with our esthetician will determine if dermaplaning is right for you.

What can I expect during a chemical peel?

During a chemical peel, a solution is applied to the skin to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. You may experience a tingling sensation. Post-treatment, your skin may peel and flake as it heals, revealing a fresher complexion.
